Why isn't my album artwork showing up?

I transferred music from my mac to my phone (oneplus one) using Android file transfer. I can play the music from Google Play but i don't see my music's artwork (the music is from iTunes). I downloaded the app album art grabber and it was able to find the proper artwork on the web. So i selected my desired artwork. When i went back to the Play Music app, it still doesn't show my artwork. Help.

I'll just be making some educated guesses here, because I don't have a Mac, and I don't know if the issue has to do with OS X or something else. As an experiment, try using a dedicated ID3 tag editor on your Mac to add the album art. I was going to recommend MediaMonkey (which is what I've used), but that's only on Windows, so you should search for "ID3 tag editor Mac." After adding the album art using this program on your Mac, transfer those music files to the phone and see if the art shows up.
