Samsung Galaxy S4 Wifi AC issue

Hi!

I learned that the phone works with 5Ghz AC Wifi, but it just do not connect. I tried the "forget network" option. Anything else I should do to make it work?

What's the exact model number? It's possible that some S4 models don't have 802.11ac compatibility.

It is an I9505 (SGH-M919V). And nothing worked, in the provided link.

The specs confirm that it has ac: Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-M919V Full Specifications and Features | DroidGOD.

You already tried turning off the router's security temporarily? Is the security set to WPA2-PSK/AES?

Can other devices connect to the router without difficulty? Is the router's firmware up to date?

My computer and iPhone (as well as my girlfriend‘s Nexus 5) can use the AC Wifi without problems.
And the router's firmware is up to date =)

Running out of ideas. Is the DHCP range wide enough? If the range of available IP addresses is relatively narrow, then there might not be room for another device to connect.

Oh! I will check that. But the S4 connects 5Ghz, only if "N" is selected.
It does not connect on "AC" though.

The DHCP range is wide enough. My iPhone 6S connects to it without an issue.

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have any more ideas. Perhaps something happened to the wireless radio over time that prevents it from receiving 802.11ac?
