Power Button Broken, phone will not turn on

A

AC Question

My Galaxy S4 has a broken power button and I cannot get it to turn on. I have tried literally everything, all the tricks like plugging it in and taking the battery out really fast and all the other tricks I have found online. The furthest I have got is a black screen with white letters that says Samsung Galaxy, looks like it is about to power on, but then it turns off after a second or so. I have also tried plugging it in to a computer. Please let me know if there is anything else I can try to get this device on cause I am very desperate!

Welcome to Android Central! I think you'll just have to get the Power button fixed. It may be that the contact for the Power switch is always registering a press, such that when you manage to power it on, the phone then thinks you're trying to force a shutdown by pressing and holding the Power button again. I don't think it costs that much to fix at a local repair shop.
