Want charge with USB

When I plug up phone it won't start charging unless I wiggle cord then keeps stopping. When charged it won't last long

The USB lead may be bad, and/or the USB port connector dirty or damaged, and/or the battery failing, among other possibilities.
Also check your battery usage stats.
