How to fix Kyocera Hydro bootloop after firmware update

I woke up and saw my Kyocera Hydro had downloaded a firmware update and was just waiting for my confirmation to install and reboot. I selected for it to go ahead with the install and it proceeded to power down. Upon trying to turn back on though it lights up with the "Powered by Android" Logo vibrates and then loops from there, not stopping till i take out the battery. I've looked up fixes and found that holding in the volume down and power button to bring up the factory reset should fix it. However after doing this several times and getting no results I'm at a loss.

same thing here -- did you ever get a fix??? Shouldn't have to go through this due to accepting the update they put out there its very frustrating - I am going to the boost mobile store later today but doubt they will do anything but sell me a new phone.
