Highlight, Copy & Paste not working

[AC Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Updated to 6.0.1 almost a month ago. I also had a minor update two weeks afterwards. For like a week now I can't highlight text or paste text in any field in any app. I tried restarting my phone, resetting my settings, try new keyboards (from Google Keyboard to Samsung Keyboard) etc. This is annoying as I can't transfer text between apps. Please help

Have you gone into recovery and wiped the partition cache? If the partition cache wipe does not fix your issue, I'm afraid a factory reset is in order. This would be a full factory reset.

Over the course of the last couple of weeks, many people have reported issues after the major update MM. After the partition cache wipe, if it doesn't work, try the full factory reset. Please be sure to look for backup programs that will back up all of your data. There is Samsung Smart Switch, and also helium that is a good third party app. Before you attempt full factory reset, make sure all of your important data is backed up.

I have found a workaround for this bug. Switch your Android browser into desktop mode. Here, the copy paste manu seems to work.
