Samsung Galaxy Note II - Water Damage

[AC Question]

On May 20th, my phone was dropped into a bit of water. I dried off as much as possible. I didn't leave it in rice until that following night. Everything works perfectly, except it would claim that my phone is charging except it isn't. Also, I tried different USB cables plus the outlet thingie. Turns out, the only thing that works best is an apple outlet block with a blackberry USB cable. So today, my battery died. When I went to charge my phone, it wouldn't even turn on. Can someone help me?

Sounds like the water really damaged the charging port. I would either bring the phone in to have someone look at it or buy a spare battery charger for the battery alone.

Is it possible for the water to eventually damage elsewhere if I continue to use this phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Water damage can be insidious and unpredictable. As corrosion develops, you may see more problems pop up later on.
