Galaxy S5: Need to switch the google account my phone is connected to

A

AC Question

Basically my mom made a google account for me for my phone, and I've been using that for a while. But now I want to use a different Google account, and delete the old one. Is there a way that I can delete the old one and transfer the data on my phone to the new account? Basically I don't want to lose all my apps, pictures, texts and everything. If I sync the new account, unsync the old account, and then delete the old account will that work?

"and transfer the data on my phone to the new account?" No way - the data is linked to the account.

If it's just files you're worried about (apps, pics, texts, etc., you can back them up to a computer (see Backing up an Android Device), then restore them after you change accounts in the phone. If it's app data (your scores, etc.) Helium MAY work, but it may not.
