Question Deleting Google Account After Factory Reset

Hi. I recently factory reset my Android phone so that I can have it recycled, and I foolishly forgot to delete the Google account directly from the phone. When I went to my Manage your Google Account--Security--Your devices on my desktop, I was able to sign out of this phone's Google account but I was not able to delete it. Is there a way to delete this account at this point?

If you factory reset through settings then it would of deleted your Google account.

If you went to find my device you could wipe the phone of your data but still have your account Link to that device because not done through settings.

Yes, I did the factory reset through Settings on my phone, but when I go to my Google account on my desktop, the phone is still listed and it says "Signed Out."

Might take some time before Google removes it from listed.

This is normal behavior. That old device will get removed from your Google account after some period of time, but I'm not sure the exact duration. As long as you've signed out of your Google account for that device, your information is safe.
