How to recover data from SD card used as Internal Memory

A

AC Question

I inserted San-disk 32 GB SD card in my Phone running Android 6.0.1
I formatted the SD card as Internal Memory ( BIG..HUGE MISTAKE)

After few days When I rebooted my phone a message was seen in Notification area as :"REINSERT MEMORY CARD"
I tried it several times but it is not working

I have some Photos and Important files in the SD card

Please help me to recover it.

I think you got it wrong

I formatted the card as Internal memory on Android 6..means it can not be used outside the device.
The card was working find until a few days When I rebooted my phone a message was seen in Notification area as :"REINSERT MEMORY CARD"

I doubt you will get your data back. AFAIK there is no way to recover it. NO PC will even recognise it and the card itself is specific to your device. Adaptable storage is dangerous, as you have found out.

The definitive method of recovering deleted files from an SD card (or any storage media you can mount in a PC) is PhotoRec. Reformatted, repartitioned, it doesn't matter - PhotoRec is looking at the files themselves, not the file system, so even if you've destroyed the entire file system, the files are recoverable. (And it's totally free.)
