My Google Speech To Text cuts me off and pops up a list of sentences in messenger

Lately whenever I'm using voice texting, instead of it automatically inserting what I said into messenger it will pop up with a list of 5 possible things that I said and you have to press the one that is correct. The problem is that if you pause what you're saying for .0001 seconds it will cut you off and pop up with the list of what you could have said. Really frustrating sometimes. How do I fix this to where it just automatically inserts what I was saying into text? I have an LG G3 phone.
