Samsung S7 edge SD card suddenly corrupt

A

AC Question

Hello, could someone help I just turned off my S7 edge to swap to a different sim then put it back an noticed all the apps on the sd card weren't showing up then went to storage an it says corrupt checked to see if the sd card wasn't sitting in tray right but it seemed to be fine put sd card in card slot on computer an works fine copied everything. Is there any way to get sd card working again on s7 or is doing a format the only way? as id prefer not too as that means having to download all apps again. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! It might be because you removed the SIM/microSD tray without Unmounting the SD card first (in Settings>Storage). If you unexpectedly remove the SD card without Unmounting first, that can cause data corruption.

If the computer can read the card, backup all of your data now. Then run chkdsk to see if you can fix any bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html
