Phone shuts off despite plenty of charge and changes time.

My phone goes dead as if it needs to charge. When I plug it in, there is always plenty of battery left. Once I go to use it, it shuts down again. Also, it changes time- always going back 5 hours. I do not have it set to update time automatically thinking that was the problem- it was not.

Hello! Welcome! This is absolutely not normal behavior. You can try a factory reset. Sometimes that helps. But it sounds more like you may have a faulty battery or something else internally. What type of device do you have?
