phone not booting

[AC Question]

hi there, my android phone wont boot up and the led charging led doesnt light when plugged in.

it will occasionally boot for a few seconds then instantly the screen goes black.

today i even got to see my home screen for 5 seconds before the phone went off instantly.

can you give me some advice please?

Right now it sounds like it's not charging. Start with cheapest/external options. Try different USB cable and/or charger. Make sure charging port on device it free dirt/grime. Doesn't take much to prevent cable seating properly.
