I wanted to see what the difference was as far as speed. They're both clocked to 2ghz. Is there a big difference in performance?

Not exactly. It depends on what you are doing and what the app is using. At single core use the 808 is around 300-350 points higher in score than the 625 but in multicore use the 625 is around 1,300 points higher in score than the 808.
You also need to take the GPUs into consideration since the 808 (Adreno 418) is capable of around 172 GFlops where the 625 (Adreno 506) is able to do around 130 GFlops.

Long story short: If you are looking to play video games on it then the 808 would be better.
If you are looking for all around everyday use and lots of multitasking the 625 would be better.
