Phone unresponsive, but LED light is blinking

Phone was working just fine. I set on counter, came back, totally black screen, unresponsive, but LED is flashing. Tried holding down volume and power buttons, still nothing

Sounds like the battery is almost dead, plug your phone into it's wall charger, not a USB charger because they are often under powered.
Let it charge for a few minuets, then try to re-start the phone.
