Wont let me put a password/pattern.

I have a Samsung J7, (2015) and I downloaded an app called "Google device Policy" I had a pattern at the time, and it forced me to go make a code instead. I deleted it, and now my phone is stuck on swipe, I try to add my old pattern lock, but it asks me for my code password, I entered exacrly what my last one was, and it practically got rid of my right to lock my phone.
