I am currently a Verizon customer and am looking for a new phone

. I am currently using a Moto X 2014 which I love but is beginning to feel outdated. I still do not like samsung's software or UI so I do not want to get a Samsung phone. Is there a phone that is still worth getting now, or should I wait a little longer and see what comes out in the near future? I know the Google event is coming up with most likely a "pixel phone". I am currently leaning toward getting an HTC 10, but is it a little too late to be purchasing that or is the HTC 10 still comparable to any phones that will be coming out soon?
