Why won't my headphones work?

[AC Question]

I replaced my screen + midframe, so I had to get all the cameras and stuff out, which included the headphone jack. When I pulled it out, there was a pin hanging down from it. When I touched it, it broke it off. Assuming only the headphone jack was damaged, I bought a new one. Installed the new one today, and same result. It acts as if the headphones don't exist. If I'm playing music w/o headphones out of the speakers, and plug headphones in, it just continues to play from the speakers.

It sounds like you might need to visit a repair shop to have them diagnose and fix the problem if your DIY repair did not work.
