Why wont my s5 take an SD card

[AC Question]

I have a Samsung galaxy s5,i had an SD card in it and it was working fine but one day it said error need to format SD card!After trying to figure it out for a while i gave up and got a new-Ish one but same problem soooo i went and bought a brand new HP sd card and guess what??same frickin problem...me phones storage is almost full so the phones lagging now and itd pissing me right off!!!Any suggestions???

It's hard to say if it's hardware or software related. I would do a full backup, factory reset and restore and if no change you will need to take it to a repair shop as perhaps the card reader is faulty
