Why will my phone not turn on after being in ultra power save mode?

My phone will not charge, so I put it in ultra power save mode until I can get to a Verizon store. When I tried to get out of the ultra save mode, my phone just shut off and won't turn back on. While I understand that it might not have been fully charged, it did have at least a 90% charge on it. Please help. Thanks.

90% before you put it into ultra save? The battery could have gone dead in the time since that. That's about the only thing, short of dropping or bumping the phone and breaking something, that would cause it to not turn on - a dead battery.

(BTW, the phone doesn't care if the charging port is broken, or if you can't get to the store - at 40%, turn the phone off or you'll start damaging the battery.)
