LG G5 - When plugged into computer I cannot access files on phone

This used to work. When I plug the phone into my computer I was able to access the downloads, photos, etc on the phone. As well the phone would give me connection option. Now all I get is an Android System notification that the phone is charging. I believe this may have happened after the OS upgrade prior to Nugat (which it's running now).

Welcome to the forums. Tap on the charging notification. You should get options to change to file transfers. Tap on that. You now should be able to drag and drop files. You will have to do this every time you plug your device in.

Thanks. That's what used to happen. Now when I swipe down the notification bar and tap on the "Android System" charging notification, it simply scrolls the notification bar closed. There are no options to change any connection settings.

Did you have USB debugging on? Maybe the update turned that off?

I'm not doing any development so developer tools were not visible. I did however make the visible and turn USB debugging on but it did not change anything,
