Bricked phone makes sound when plugged in to PC

AC Question

I tried to uninstall an app, but the phone got stuck on the 'uninstalling' screen and became unresponsive. I didn't know what to do, so I took the battery out. It was on 40% battery at the time.

Mistake! Now the phone is totally bricked. I have tried using POWER + VOLUME keys etc., all the commonly suggested button combos to reset the device. I get nothing.

However, when I plug the phone in to my Windows 10 PC, I hear a sound! The PC makes the 'device plugged in' sound, then a few seconds after, it makes the 'device unplugged' sound. Repeatedly. Every few seconds it makes a sound. However, when I hold the POWER key down the PC stops making sounds...

I know the phone has some response, because when I plug it in to the PC the PC stops making sound when I hit power. But no button combo I try does anything!

The phone is an Oukitel U7 Pro, it has never been flashed/rooted etc...
