How can I hear my phone conversations better?

I have a new Moto Z Droid phone. Although I have my volume up as high as it will go, when I make or receive a call I can barely hear the other person. I do wear hearing aids and I also have this item checked as well. Is there any way to increase the volume on phone calls?

Welcome to Android Central! Was your previous phone's call volume much better? I'm just wondering if it's an isolated issue for your phone, or if all phones might be unsatisfactory in your situation.
