How to stop calls going direct to voice mail droid turbo / Android 6

Using Droid Turbo, updated to Android 6.0.1 Some, not all calls go directly to voice mail. Googled a lot and have not seen solution. I do not use “advanced calling”. I'm in the same house with great reception for years and 3 other phones. There will be no ring, no vibration, and then I'll get an alert for voice mail. As with many other users, the issue did not show up for a few months after I bought it. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'd be contacting your service provider, that may be a network issue..

Thank you for answering. It has happened on both Verizon and Page Plus. Can anyone tell me how to post to Droid Turbo forum? I googled and someone said we have to be registered or listed for the sub forum in order to post, but I don't see an option for that in my member area. thanks.
