Why does my LG G3 give me ubread messgage notifications constantly?

[AC Question]

This started happening about a week or so ago.

This IS NOT a notification on the icon on the homescreen, but instead in the actual body of the message.
It is every time I get a message, it shows a long grey bar that says unread message.
I hate it.
So, if you can tell me how to get rid of that, I would appreciate it!
