Factory Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) unable to connect to a network

[AC Question]

I recently moved to Japan and i got an MVNO sim from Au by KDDI.. i assumed it will work on my galaxy s6 since it is factory unlocked. Unfortunately, i cannot get any network connection to KDDI..

I tried manually choosing the network but i still cannot connect..

Welcome to Android Central! It appears that KDDI au uses CDMA (https://www.frequencycheck.com/carriers/kddi-au-japan), while the SM-G920F is a GSM phone (Galaxy S6 | SM-G920FZDAXSG | Samsung United Arab Emirates).
