If my texts are blocked will I get a message?

An x friend announced he was blocking my texts. If I text him would I receive a message I'm blocked? I have a Galaxy 6 and Verizon service. I believe he also has Verizon but don't know his phone type.

"Blocked" means "discarded, not saved, with no notification when the receiver's phone receives the message".
If you have the delivery receipts turned on, the message should be marked as delivered.
You will get no indications of being "blocked", other than never getting a response.
