In Las Vegas, I have tested twice. Best down was 18.46 down and 3.9 up and worst was 6.25 down and 3.25 up. BUT, 4G has been going in and out here for the last couple weeks so I expect big improvements when that is sorted.

I'm not as fortunate as the rest of you. Im averaging about 6-8MB here in Philly with a continuous 2 bars. I get full bars on occasion but not too often.

LTE just went live in the Quad City (IL/IA) yesterday morning, so I've naturally been thoroughly testing it out. I'm averaging about 10 mbps down and 4-5 mbps up, but I've had peaks well above 20 mbps and valleys as low as 5 mbps. Strangely, there doesn't appear to be a direct correlation between speed and number of bars of reception. There are times when I have only a bar or two of reception and still get well over 10+ mbps. And there have been times when I have 3-4 bars only get around 5. Generally speaking, though, usually the more bars the faster the speed, but not always (not sure why).

Also, my first speed test with the app usually seems to be slower than subsequent ones. For example, my first speed test might be 5-7 mbps down, but if I run it again, it'll bump up to 15-20. Not sure if that's just a natural ramp-up of the radio or what?

I also live in Philly(Center City). I went to the Verizon store 3 blocks away to check out the Bionic. The manager is trying it out and said that he is getting about 6..don't know about how many bars, but he also said he is getting 6 on this Charge too...so it might be the network and not the phone.

I have had as high as 25/6 and as low as 6/2. Ninety percent of my speed tests are 14/4 though.

I live in SE Gilbert and drive all over the metro area. I have the Charge and have consistent 4g inside the 101 and 202 and I-10. That encompasses most of the metro area. I've heard your 4g radio/firmware is a little more stable so you may do better.

I consistently do above 10 down and about 6 up

I get constant 4G coverage until just east of Mesa. I also get a pretty consistent 10-12 down.

I didnt think it was the phone, but I stopped using the Speed Test app and saw that Im getting around 12MB now. Also, the app was updated and is showing better results.

They updated the speedtest.net app today and it went to crap. It's not remotely accurate any more.

I do know it (updated this afternoon) reported my best results to date, 36 down with a 9 up (I did have a 10 up with a 30 down before).

EDIT: hmm. just ran it now, got the best yet, 36 down, 11 up

By my house, my results used to be around 11 down and 3-4 up. After they updated the app I ran a test and it couldn't break 4 down and 1 up.

I've only tested once and got 15 down and 5 up. Even that is damn fast.

EDIT: Just tested again and got 27.6 down and 6.5 up. Nice.

EDIT 2: That was kbps.

The bionic has a death grip issue. Just tested once in my hand and once sitting on the couch, and the difference was 5 down and 3 up. In my hand it wouldn't break 7, but on the couch it roared past 12.

Also, xtreme labs speed test is proving to be more reliably accurate.

I typically get between 2100 and 2700 I kB/s down and 300-450 kB/s up where I work in MD... Which its faster than I get at home on wifi, and I have an N+ router too lol.

I have routinely been getting speeds in excess of 30 down, with a best of almost 54, and usually around 8-15 up. Needless to say, I'm very pleased :)
