For anyone using a leaked update ... headphone whine?

Anyone out there using one of the leaked updates that can testify as to whether they fixed the headphone whine via software?

I've read on other forums that several people claim the whine is gone.

I pray that the whine is gone... So annoying. One of the only problems I have with the phone.

Not gone for me (stock, unrooted running 5.7.893). My Bionic sits in the car dock on my daily commute every day and I hear the whine about half the time. This morning it was particularly bad. I heard it as soon as I plugged in the 3.5mm cable. I reached for the phone, hit the volume down button twice then the volume up button and the whine goes away.

It's still a problem.

I'm running 5.7.893 and a custom rom by Th3ory and I have no whine. YMMV!

I never had the headphone whine to begin with, but I've read from a number of people who did have it that it went away completely after applying the leaked update.

The whine varies with headphone quality.
It annoyed me. I now have a Razr and no whine.

Thanks for the info. The Bionic is still on my short list of possible upgrades, but I want to make sure they actually fix it. Not real thrilled about the Razr formfactor so I'm still following Bionic news closely ;-)

I never really had much of a problem with any whine in the first place, but I did notice a little of it before updating to 5.7.893 and I'm on Th3ory's Shift3r Rom which I do not hear any of it anymore.

I haven't done the update, but I've never had the headphone whine. Ever.

Had the whine in stock. Since i listen to a lot of spoken voice only podcasts (news, sports, etc.) it really annoyed me.

Did Forever Root & applied 5.7.893 and the whine is gone.
