Does soft reset command work reliably?

I'm a little paranoid. I'm used to having phones that you can take out the battery for a forced soft reset when everything else fails. I know that pressing down the power button and volume down button simultaneously will make the Razr do a soft reset. But does this work every single time in a sure fire way? Has anyone ever experienced a time when this didn't work and your phone was plain stuck in limbo mode? Sorry, as I mentioned before.........I am a little paranoid! Thanks! Casey

I tried it to test it just in case I needed it, but haven't even need to reset by that method yet. This after seven months. I really wouldn't worry so much about something that hasn't even happened. Just enjoy your Maxx.
FWIW, I've heard of several who have used this method after a lock up and it worked fine. Now watch someone contradict me.
