This happened to me too. I was taking a nap today and when I woke I had a message that the update failed. I was trying to think "What update??" and then I figured "JB!!!" I tried a manual update and it says it is up to date.

If it doesn't update on it's own tomorrow, then I may try the Google Services Framework trick.

    Home/menu/settings/apps/all/google services framework/

    Touch this.

Once it opens clear data and force stop it.

    Hit home/settings/about phone/check for updates.

    Its already on XDA...

Download the file from post # 1 of this thread:

    12/24/12 Update x912 - xda-developers

■Copy file from above and drop on SD card (not internal storage)
    ■Power phone off
■Hold Power and both Volume Up and Down until boot screen appears
■From boot screen, scroll down to “Recovery” with Volume Down
■Press Volume Up to select it once it has been highlighted
■When Android and exclamation show up, press both Volumes at the same time.
■Then “install update from external storage” and find the file.

Let the update run, and enjoy.

If you are rooted you can keep root using OTA Rootkeeper.
    Before you apply the update:
    Run OTA Rootkeeper
    Click on "Protect Root"
    Click on "Temp Unroot"
    Apply the update
    Run OTA Rootkeeper again
    Click on "Restore Root"

Are you using foxfi for mobile hotspots, or the built in hotspots feature? I'm avoiding the update until I know its gonna work.

To move it to external just go into files in app drawer and find it in downloads and long press to move then move to external if I remember right

My Dad has the RAZR and is pretty upset that he missed the update. If I side load it on his phone for him, will he lose any of his settings or apps? I'm on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus so I'm not familiar with the RAZR.

Confirmed the link from XDA works. Just side loaded onto my Dad's RAZR. Took about 15-20 mins for the whole process but it was successful. Dad is happy!

Yeah, me too. I think that Verizon actually did me a favor. So far, all reports are that it doesn't work. Am considering options including USB. Until I get it sorted out, the file is staying put on my SD card.

From what I understand, foxfi does not work.

Have you tried doing the Mobile Hotspot hack and using the stock Mobile Hotspot app? I've been using this since the Razr came out and it works great. Here are the instructions for the hack:

How to Get Free 4G LTE Wifi Tether/Mobile Hotspot on Rooted Droid Razr! | DroidRazrRoot.com

I had the hack done before I did the update to JB and it carried over fine.

This is probably a stupid question, but can you delete the file off of the SD Card after you update? Running update as we speak.

The answer is yes, of course. If anyone needs the working legit rom that was leaked recently, just pm or respond to this message and I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days to leak it back out if needed.
