Use el26 kernel found on xda to flash cm9. No need for the whole from although you can do that too

i want cm9
i am on ICS right now
i want to use cm9
or even AOKP if i could find an actual
working dowload

Make sure you are using the el26 kernel w cmw recovery. Then reboot to recovery or power down and go into recovery. Once in cwm, flash away.....

If you are still trying to install CM9 you will need to use the EL26 with CWM kernel. You will need to restart the phone and hold volume+power to boot into recovery. If you are currently on ICS and install the EL26 kernel it will not boot but will still allow you to get into recovery.

This is the safest method to wipe data while in recovery, which is necessary to install CM9.

Once you're rooted (unlocked bootloader and have SU access):
  1. Use ODIN/Mobile ODIN to flash teh EL26 kernel w/ CWM
  2. Boot into recovery
  3. Flash CM9
  4. Flash gapps

I used Mobile ODIN when flashing the EL26 kernel w/ CWM. Sometimes my phone would reboot on its own. When it did, I would hold volume up + power until I saw the Samsung screen then let go. This should take you to CWM. From there, flash CM9 and gapps then reboot system.

I've been using the standard Google Navigation and it works really great for me.

You flashed the kernel its not booting because you only flashed a kernel with no recovery you must flash the kernel then CWM.

The fh13 is the newest build for our phone you can hook up your phone to a computer and get it through Kies. You are going to want to be on a safe kernel to flash any custom ROM. Hopefully you have read up on the emmc bug.

Did you get a lock on GPS before turning your phone off and flashing? You should always do that. Qbking77 has a lot of helpful videos on YouTube if you haven't come across his stuff.
