Amazon is usually pretty good about honoring the price you paid for it, so I wouldn't be surprised if they still delivered it to you for that price once it's in stock.

Thats true but what if the PS3 was a non working ps3? It says new but what if something is wrong with it, then $40 down the drain.

Well, from the looks of it, it's directly from Sony, so I doubt you'll run into an issue. Even then, just test it out first. Amazon has a great reputation with returning items. I've had to return items from them before because it was faulty or whatever, they've never given me an issue.
