Google maps in Ukraine not working?

Hey all,

Wife and I are in Ukraine for a few weeks, I have a Dinc, she has the Dinc2. Neither of our phones are picking up the location. Both Google maps say "location unavailable at this time "

I have tried rebooting, clearing,the cache, upgrading Google maps, and tried a gps status app. Any thoughts or help?

International Data Roaming activated?

I was just there in Kiev a few months ago, and it worked flawlessy.

OK, turning on roaming data worked for the Dinc2 (which we had also taken to some guy who hacked our Verizon sum card so that this phone has mobile network enabled on a local carrier)

The Dinc was not hacked, in airplane mode. Turned on roaming data, and have wifi at a McDonalds but still no location found.

Yes, turned on GPS too

Have not tried the Dinc2 without wifi to see if it works when we are moving around. Oh, and it worked when I first turned on roaming data, then stopped working until I connected to wifi and downloaded a cache of this area.

Which mobile network are you using there? You may want to do a force change to MTS or Beeline. Try the different carriers if you can.

Other than that, I don't have anymore options other than reboot the Dinc2.

The OG DInc has no GSM chips so it will only get maps via WiFi.
