Flash goes off when closing camera app

My Galaxy S3 just started this weird behavior. When I close down the camera app, the flash goes off for about 2 seconds. Very annoying. Is there a way to fix this?

Flash is turned off inside the camera app. I have restarted Android, but no difference.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any other apps installed that have permission to use the camera? One of them might be causing problems. Apps that have permission for the camera may include flashlight apps, banking apps (ones that can take pictures of a check to deposit it), other 3rd party camera apps, etc. If you have any of these kinds of apps, consider uninstalling them temporarily, and see if the problem persists.
