How to get rid of "Your device will be turned off"?

Hi,

This is trivial, OK, but I still find it annoying. When I press and hold the power button to switch off, I get this message "Your device will be turned off". I KNOW.

In an android dystopia, every time you turn off a light, you would get a warning telling you this action will turn the light off. Every time you close a tap, it would tell you "this is going to stop the water from flowing". Get my drift?

Whoever coded this has a very poor opinion of human intelligence.

Unless you're willing to root and install a custom ROM for this very trivial grievance, you're gonna have to learn to live with it.

Thank you. I might try rooting sometime. For the moment, I'm learning my way on the surface, but if the list of trivial grievances grows long, I'll get round to trying to sort them out .

You’d have to make changes to the thing, the name of which I can never remember.
I realise that that may not be very helpful.

Depending on the make, model of your device, you'll need to root it with a custom rom made specifically for your device.
Check your device at XDA developers website and good luck.
