How do I get my text messaging font size back to a normal size?

Text messaging font size issue

Recently, my phone fell on the floor, and the bottom half of the volume button got smashed in. I can only use the raise volume button now. So, I went on messaging, and accidentally held the up volume button, so my font size got huge. Since I can't use my down volume button, it's now stuck. How can i change it back to normal without the down volume button?

Is it huge across the entire device or only in the messaging app? if it's across the entire device, go into settings>display>font size and select from the options on the screen, no need for volume button.
