Hi,

I have a HTC One M8 which I recently updated to Android Marshmallow 6.0.
I hate it a lot because of the new emojis which look horrible.
I have tried many ways to change the emojis on the device, but none of them have worked.
Can you please tell me how to safely downgrade my HTC One M8 to Android 5.1.1.
I am not a mobile expert but I can not stand these emojis.

You can't "downgrade", you have to flash a 5.1.1 ROM. Doing so will delete all your installed apps and all your data, so back everything up. (See Backing up an Android Device.)

If you want instructions on flashing a ROM to an HTC phone, go to the HTC One M8 forum on XDA Forums. (There's a flashing program available and someone there can point you to a ROM file. I've never done an HTC, so I can't give you step by step instructions.)
