My wife and I have a shared Gmail account that forwards emails to each of our individual Gmail accounts. She receives messages sent to the shared address almost instantaneously on her iPhone 5, while they take nearly 30 minutes to show up on my N4.
I've also tried an experiment with sending messages to my personal Gmail and waiting for them to arrive on three devices - N4 on T-Mobile, HTC Windows Phone 8X also on T-Mobile, and a WiFi-only iPad Mini. All devices are connected to the same WiFi network in my home. The HTC always receives the messages first, followed very soon thereafter by the iPad, and lagging way behind, the N4.
Any ideas why this is happening? It seems to me that the N4 should be receiving those messages more quickly than the other two devices. What gives?
