Hi guys.

So I have never had problems with my wifi, until yesterday. I realized the wifi was not on when I got a "Data usage warning" from my phone provider.

I looked at the wifi and it was not connected. When I try and connect to my home network (which my husbands phone, my ps3 and my pc are all connected to without issue) it gives me an "authentication error".

I would assume that would be the password or something, but the password is fine.

I have:
- tried turning to airplane mode and back
- tried changing it from "auto" to 2.4mghz only as in the troubleshooting guide
- tried turning off always scanning
- tried restarting the router and modem.

Any other thoughts? :(

Check the router's wifi encryption method. A lot of phones have started having a problem with TKIP encryption. If you're using that, or TKIP+AES, switch to AES. (Or buy a cheap Netgear N300 for $35 - they seem to not have the problem. My best analysis [granted, I didn't spend even 5 minutes worrying about it] is that it's probably a change in a lot of routers in last couple of years that became a problem since Android 4.4.)
