Nexus 5 Screen Replaced, screen doesn't turn on, sometimes there are lights and sound

So i replaced my cracked N5 screen with a whole digitizer/LCD and now it doesn't turn on but sometimes when i try to power it on + hold down the volume button, the notification lights sometimes turn on and once there was even sound.

Is my phone done for or is there anything I can do to make the screen turn on?

Sounds like you got a bad screen. I recently changed out my screen too and it's been perfect.

I guess I'll try fiddling with the factory reset a little more and shoot the sellers an email then!
