Control Nexus 7 Through the Pc

I need a small program to allow me to control my nexus 7 by using my pc
I have broken my screen and need to access it before I unroot and flash it
I realise I can do this by plugging a mouse into it using and otg connector but i have Left mine in the city when I returned home for christmas and won't be returning for a while.

is there any way I can control the Nexus & using my pc

yes, but you would need to install an app on the N7 first if your broken screen will let you.

search here or at the Google Play store for Remote Desktop or VNC for specifics

Yeah i taught this was going to happen
I think there is a way to do it using ubuntu having used ubuntu in a while though ill have to reinstall it

its only for controlling your Nexus 7 if you have Ubuntu install on the tablet

Any one else any ideas?

I just want to Unroot Relock and wipe a nexus 7 with a broken touchscreen

And I dont have a otg usb

Airdroid might give you some functionality but you have to install the app.

What are you trying to do? Restore it to stock before exchanging it? If so, try using factory images or factory reset through the N7 Toolkit on xda.

Yeah im trying to return it to factory stock and relock it
But im not sure if usb debugging is on or what firmware im on

Is usb debugging on by default ?
Can i lock and flash the nexus 7 without any input to the device ?

you dont need for this to work, jsut the usb connector cable and a nexus 7, and of coarse a computer....
