Hi guys, I purchased an early model tablet with the loose screen. It wasn't a problem until l dropped it (in a cover ) and my Nexus 7 was now not responding to touch. I was unable to even open up the lock screen. After a bit of research I found several accounts of people with the same problem due to a damaged digitizer. The cost of getting this fixed by Asus was more than the cost of the tablet.
Anyway,I was considering selling my damaged but much loved Nexus 7 on fleabay when I remembered someone posting a clip of them using a mouse via a OTG cable. Worth a try I thought.
IT WORKED! Not ideal by any means, but I can use it.
I've posted this in the hope i can help anyone else with a similar problem.
