Hey,

I just got a nexus 7 and i am new to the android os. Can someone explain to me what the battery graph means. I am going to post pictures of mine and I just want to know what it is saying

The first picture is of the graph which states 1D, 12Hrs, and the second is of the screen time. Does the second picture mean i have been actually using the tablet only for 2 hours?

It means the screen has been on for that long. The device does automatically use some functions, but in short, yes.

Sent from a SlimROM S3.

Screen use generally takes the most battery. I find that with real-world mixed use, my total screen-on time on the Nexus 7 is around 6 hours, so you seem to be right on track. Benchmark testing that showed up to 8-9 hours of video use is a little misleading, because that's all they do--start the tablet on a video and just keep playing until the battery runs out. They're not doing other stuff like switching between apps, playing music, sending email, and other functions that can add to battery usage.

Oh I understand. Thank you to all, makes me feel better. Man, I can't seem to leave my Nexus 7 alone. I just love that thing! Glad I bought it :)
