Pixel XL and water

How averse are these things to water? I know they aren't IP68 rated but are we talking issues on a humid day? I had my phone in my jeans pocket and had some water spill on my leg near my pocket. Is something like that something I need to worry about? Indirect contact with liquids

It's IP53 so i wouldn't be too confident in it. Might survive a flash or light rain but don't go swimming of showering with it
