No Gorilla Glass..

Phandroid is reporting that Corning has officially stated no Gorilla Glass.

I know some, if not most of you don't care.. some do though..

hopefully some reviewers get there hands on a GNEX soon enough and give us worriers a good screen scratch test. I refuse to use a screen protector.

Samsung Janel No. Instead of the Gorilla Glass we use another kind of fortified glass.

Guys.... Gorilla Glass is a BRAND NAME. They might not be using "Gorilla Glass" (the brand) but I bet you it will have another high strength glass.

Just like how Kleenex = Tissue

I think most people understand that.. but at the same time Gorilla Glass is proven.. I would like to know what kind of fortified glass its using and how well it holds up.

ie- I'd like to see some scratch tests videos done for this phone.

and not all tissues are created equally btw... are you implying store brand is as soft and forgiving on your nose as kleenex?

This is a major letdown. Gorilla Glass is generally considered the top product in this category. Sadly, I feel like every time some new piece of information comes out about the Nexus Prime (excluding ICS pure awesomeness), I am disappointed. I can't remember the last time a statement was made about the hardware that made me happy.

Hopefully ICS can make up for all of it.
