Savings Pictures From Hangouts

Just switched to AT&T and got me a Nexus 5. I'm currently using Hangouts for SMS and can't figure out how to save pictures from there. My father in law sent me a few of my daughter and I see no capability to save the images. Is there a way to get that done? Thanks!

Show picture in full screen, tap the 3 dots in the top right corner and click save.

I don't have that option. When I open the picture they're aren't any dots in the corner.

It came as 4 pictures in one message from an iPhone, if that matters.

Ah! Thanks for that. At least I know I'm not crazy and it's not just my phone. Looks like I'll be downloading Textra.

Textra is one of the few messaging apps that supports multiple pictures in one MMS correctly, so that's a good choice.

I do kind of like having Hangouts run my SMS so I downloaded Chomp to go along with it. If I run into more issues with saving pictures, I'll just open up Chomp and save from there, which worked perfectly.
