Random Restarts and shut downs (non-rooted)

Hi, I have an Evo 3D that for the most part works well. But my phone will randomly reboot and power down without my discretion. Now on some days it does it far more often then on other days. Hell, on some days it doesn't do it at all. I've tried wiping my data before to no avail and it doesn't make sense to me to replace a phone that otherwise runs pretty damn good. I'm not sure if there is any real solution to this problem.

Have you tried factory resetting?

Usually that I the case.

It sounds like a hardware issue if your not rooted and running and your on the stock kernel

Not a sense issue, just a phone issue.
