my sisterwho we added a line for last february went into bestbuy to cash in her 1 year upgrade for the EVO, and learned that she sint eligible for another year (including the other 2 add on lines we have)...now i took my 1 yewar upgrade in january and i got my phone the same day as hers last year....i got the 75 dollars credit and they bought my BB back...no problems....now there telling us the primary line (which is my father) get a full upgrade every 12 months and the other 3 lines have to wait every 2 years...thats a little different than what i read about the new policy, but maybe i read it wrong....what do u guys think?....

Dont think that is right. Sprint should still have the $75 for 1 year and $150 for 2 years. They are right about the primary having a full $150 after 1 year and all other lines must wait for 2 years for the full $150 discount.

year under my account its not showing any upgrades for any of the hpone...LOL....i thought all of this wasnt supposed to start until april 1st....

I just got my Evo today for 199, and had my Hero for exactly one year. Best Buy doesn't know what they're talking about apparently, or your sister hasn't had her phone for a full year. Try a different BB. The Silver and Gold changes don't take effect until April. that's why I beat feet to BB this morning when they opened.

They all check the same system, what ever Sprint says, they go by. You can check your line eligibilty at www.sprintrebates.com all it takes is your phone number and billing zip code.

If all else fails, call them and ask to be transferred to the escalation department, those are the people that have the power to get stuff done.

I believe it, I just don't know why it would be different for some people. Maybe they changed it right after I bought mine. Today was my 1yr anniversary and I picked up an Evo 4G for 199, so I'm happy as a pig in ****.

This was a huge story, and Sprint planned to send out notices to every customer regarding it. Your just making a bigger deal out of it. It's just to early currently and you have not been notified yet. It was also mentioned that nobody would be grandfathered in. Meaning if you had a upgrade after April 1st it did not matter, it would be revoked. These are Premier Perks and it does state within those guidelines that they can change at any time without it being a breach in contract. They are perks.. Not rights.

Be that as it may if you had a line upgrade after 4/1/11 they should still honor it and not revoke it.

well i can maybe see why it would be revoked because of the new policy being put into effect in 4/1....but an upgrade before that should be honored....i dunno....im done babbling about LOL.....i aint getting stressed out about it....I upgraded to my EVO 1 month ago today, so im good LOL....my sister is gonna have to stick with her purple 8530 for the next year....**OUCH**

Both of my lines are showing $75 in august which would be a year, then june of 2012 for $150

well last year i upgrade in march and got my 1 year 75 dollar credit...and i emailed customer service last night and they said that i am still eligible for the 75 dollar 1 year credit.....they checked it twice....so im just going to bring the email in like they told me too...trust me, there is such thing as a 1 year upgrade and 75 dollar credit....

This has ALWAYS been the way with Sprint, the main line gets the full discount and additional lines get it every 2 years.

my wife has had sprint for 13years under her mother's plan and she's eligable for an upgrade "every 2 years" although it's not quite 2 years because she's not the main line.

*edit*

she's eligible currently for the $75 discount but lets face it, that's not worth using. She currently has a Pre that she's had for less than a year. We were in the Sprint store looking at the Evo Shift for her.

I was under the impression that it was always like this. Guess I was wrong. It doesn't bother me at all.mmmm. I wasn't planning on changing this phone until two years time anyway.
